After he retired, my dad was seriously contemplating going to back to CCNY to finish the degree he had to abandon back during the Depression. He didn’t get around to it, because of health issues, though. I think he said they still had his transcript on file after 40+ years.

I liked being a student. If I could decide now what I’d like to study, I’d consider going back to school — if I could afford it.

I’ve always wanted to be a professional student. I would even teach at college as a side-gig. My oldest son is getting to do that.
