Amen! I see the TV ads with the soft-speaking celebrity and the little limpid-eyed child asking for my “$.30 a day to fix little Jose or Maria up with clean water, shoes, and a school”. Then I think, okay, so Maria stays in school til she’s 12 or so, then starts producing her own little Jose’s and Rosas. I get angry with myself for thinking it, but what is the long-term benefit? “They” are going to demographically destroy “Us”, and then there will be no one to even try to find solutions.

And little boy students can produce many more than little Maria can. How do you explain to a young man who has little education and no real prospects in life to use a condom? He may not even have the money to buy them consistently. AND if his only out let is alcohol and sex, how is he going to take you seriously?

Perhaps a really obnoxious religion to scare the sh!t out of him? No, we know that doesn’t work either.
