It’s raining HARD in Lubbock right now, first time since May 12th for most of the city. Some of the neighbors went outside, as I did, to sit on their porches and watch the strange spectacle. Some of the locals on Facebook and the newspaper message board are praising Jesus, not bothering to ask where He has been in the 91 days since it last rained here. Nobody has proposed that it is God’s thanks to Governor Perry for finally answering the call to the White House. Wouldn’t surprise me to hear it eventually though.
