Jews were and to a degree still are portrayed in this country as the driving force behind left wing movements. Anti-Communism(and leftism as a whole) in this country always had a very not so subtle Anti-Semitic edge to it.

A lot of the nutters still talk about the Bilderbergs and “the bankers” (i.e., DA JOOZ) as being driving forces of every conspiracy known to man.

They’re not subtle about it at all.
