That’s putting it mildly. Look at the massive damage it has done to the Muslim World. The worse thing to happen to them since the Mongols.

It’s very sad the Ottoman Empire at the end was hijacked by Ultra-Nationalism, which in turn caused the Anatolian Genocides (It wasn’t just Armenians. The Assyrians and Pontic Greeks were slaughtered too). That was a precursor to the Holocaust in a way. The West should have seen the warning rhetoric from Germany, just based on what happened less than 30 years earlier at that point.
