It’s an economic alliance (sorta similar to “favored nation” status) between the US and all the Asian nations that *aren’t* China. It makes us their go-to best friend, and gives them leverage to tell China to go fuck itself.

Although China was one of DT’s favorite whipping boys from what I remember during the campaign.
