re: #290 Flounder

Even in NY, people can’t drive in snow. Mostly too slow. Too fast and you are in the ditch. My favorite, people who stop going up a hill, AAAGH!

Have you ever noticed all of the SUVs (and some other cars, especially rear wheel drive) that find themselves off the road and down in the culvert or up against a fence on the inside of a turn, especially on ramps?

A big SUV in 4 wheel drive tends to pull ( power-oversteer) off the inside of the road and then the traction hooks up and drives them right off the road and down the embankment.

The other big thing is, many people do not realize sometimes you have three options: 1. on the gas…2. brake…3. off the gas and brake to coast and regain control or to allow momentum. I think many a driver fails to understand #3. And that is all conditions. Brake tappers…arrrgh!
