The thing is, if this is true that Trump was only joking and wasn’t serious about having a debate, then how does Sanders respond? The Bros have themselves all pumped up, so he can’t just drop the matter and move on. But if he tries to smack Trump for welshing on the “deal,” he risks Trump dropping the act and admitting he doesn’t think Bernie can win.
