I read that and thought to myself, “and?” It’s really isolating for these people. Sort of like have an “atheist model airplane club.” What’s the point? The “author” goes on to say:

Social group perhaps?

Well, basically it sounds as though they’re a politically and socially progressive group that happens to be made up of atheists.

Probably set up like that because they don’t actually like many of the other atheists they meet.

The question, I suppose, is “Is you also being an atheist enough to make me want to spend time in your presence?”
