I admrie the founders, I do also see them for what they were, 18th century aristocrats who did not think representative government was for all people. I hate the deification of the founders. I really do. I have no problem with calling the founders prejudiced because they were.

Lest we forget, the Founders in the Declaration of Independence, signed their death warrants (“we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.”). They were well off and had everything to lose. I doubt the modern equivalents (Gates, Buffet…..) would do the same. Frankly I don’t think I would have had the balls to sign that document either.
