once again, peole are obsessing over big bird when the point of the ad was something different entirely: Romney wants to finance billion-dollar tax cuts for greedy bastards by cutting relatively insignificant programs that benefit a lot of people.

That is called nuance, and it is a dying art these days.

But the fact checkers! Romney doesn’t really want to fire Big Bird!

Seriously. Folks are so hung up on Big Bird that they miss the larger point being made by the Obama campaign. Mitt Romney is a liar and a hypocrite who wants to cut insignificant government funding that actually does a public service and provides a public good while he turns around and throws money at defense and other larger programs like it’s going out of style.
