If this primary season has done anything, between Trump reaping billions in unpaid media coverage and Bernie burning tens of millions for little gain, it has viciously wounded the conventional wisdom that you can easily buy elections. And considering the billions arrayed against Hillary between now and November, it looks like Election Day will be the stake through the heart of that wisdom.
