I saw that Giuliani was on the weekend talks spewing this nonsense. This is not serious discourse. This is just obfuscation, distratction and lying.

I consider shows having he and his ilk to be a complete waste of my time. Shows that do this nonsense too often, including Meet the Chuck, end up on my don’t watch list.

Bob Schieffer was back as guest host on Face the Nation this week, and the contrast couldn’t have been more stark. He gave Democrats the lead spot, grilled Mike Lee pretty hard on the GOP side, and then devoted a good chunk of the show to literary discussion, including a nice interview with Robert Caro (WHO NEEDS TO STOP GIVING INTERVIEWS AND GET BACK TO FINISHING HIS LBJ BIOGRAPHY BUT THAT’S ANOTHER STORY)

Anyhoo… it was civilized and intelligent and entirely un-Chuck-Toddish. Wish he were back every week.
