Coakley was pretty awful and ran a hideous campaign. It was a gimme and she gave it away.

She was and Tim Kaine might want to re-think whatever strategy the DNC was using.
Brown ran a better campaign, got people excited and while being a pol was able to paint himself as an “outsider” while making people see Coakley as part of the Washington establishment (kinda of amazing that). She should have gotten a truck.

But crongrats to the Republicans it was won fair and square.
