Right. But even if privatized the prison system would need funding from the government since it can’t become a for-profit business. The only other way I can see that working would be prison labor and using the profits from that labor to sustain a private prison. Are looking at becoming the next China? Would these Republican candidates support an intense and nation wide prison labor system?
