No shit. Besides “Appalachian Trail,” how many Republicans caught with mistresses have resigned or been shown the door by the party leadership?

The only one who I can think off offhand is David Vitter, who was stupid enough to have repeated telephone correspondence with prostitutes on his government-issued cellphone.

Oh, and I forgot about David Wu, who had to resign because he thought it would be a bright idea to engage in sexual advances toward one of his fundraisers’ daughters (who was a minor at the time).
