Or, they could be using a directional mike, mounted alongside the camera. We hear the room noises, squeaky door, phone, Achmed blowing his nose, and street sounds. If the mike were elsewhere, no Achmed sounds……

Camera seems to be atop a building, maybe 5th or 6th floor?
Sounds seem to be street level.
