Obama knew Ayers, though not very well. But again, my point wasn’t about wrongdoing by Barack Obama, which I did not say there was any. What I said was that if a standard being put forward by Decatur Deb had been applied to Barack Obama in 2008, then Barack Obama’s campaign would have been destroyed before it really got off the ground.
