What I noticed most about this event (I happened to be watching TV at the time) was what utter morons the TV commentators are when they don’t have a script and have to ad lib for an hour or two.

That’s because they’re hired more for their hair than anything else now. It’s like that scene in Broadcast News where the idiot William Hurt character is the perfect broadcaster— so long as Holly Hunter is feeding him the questions to ask— but the much smarter Albert Brooks can’t be one because of his sweating problem.
