I was thinking about how I would reply to Students of Liberty and I realized that the problem is the word tolerance. I tolerate it when my kids intrude on my quiet time because I am their father and they need occasional interaction with me.

In politics, though, tolerance isn’t the right word. Acceptance is a better word. I don’t tolerate your religion; I accept that you should be allowed to choose how you want to worship because it doesn’t affect me. I will not tolerate your bigotry because I do not accept that you have any right to force your will on others.

I know I’m not entirely saying it right, but I think tolerance needs to be pushed aside for a better word.
