re: #322 wheat-dogghazi-bola-trality
Do you mean the techie girl? I like her, too. She reminds me of the female member of the Sliders team.
But NCIS: LA has not otherwise held my interest. I watched the first season, got through part of the second, and let the franchise slip away from sight.
The New Orleans series is more appealing, because I like to hear the southern accents. The Alabama character is played by an actor who really is from Alabama, and Scott Bakula (from Missouri) manages a halfway convincing “N’awlens” accent. Close enough for me, anyway. Better than Cote de Pablo’s Israeli accent, anyway.
I still catch NCIS: TOS from time to time, but the character dynamics have changed for the worse since de Pablo left. It’s just meh now.
I liked Ziva but De Pablo’s accent was horrible. There are also many horrible “generic Russian gangster” fake accents and the Greek terrorist from the drone episode also had a “generic Russian” accent.
Daniela Ruah does a pretty good “All-American girl” accent. She is actually a native Portuguese speaker.
