Yep. He took the the job and then failed to fulfill his obligation. In the military, this gets you put in prison or worse.

But, police departments are not the military, no matter how much a lots of cops act and how much they cosplay at it.

If he couldn’t give a good reason for delaying entry (such as waiting for backup), I’d settle on that cop being blackballed by other law enforcement agencies nationwide for life.

Some people just aren’t cut out to be cops, and this guy may be one of them.
