The “preexisting conditions problem” is one of the things that cannot be fixed by “insurance.” The government (taxpayer) provided health care proposed by some yes. But insurance is by definition something which insures against the possibility of loss. You don’t get fire damage insurance after the arsonist has struck. This is probably the only reason I would support government sponsored health care of any kind. But I don’t trust the crooks in charge to write it in the limited and effective way it needs to be. What say you?
