Obdicut.. get outta here! Congrats! Our number was around 200. And I’m an antisocial mofo, so a lot of champagne was required to get through the evening.

If you’re a champagne fan, and looking to get where you’re going a bit more quickly, might I suggest Old Blood ‘n’ Guts’ favorite libation - the 170 (named for a German artillery piece):

In champagne flute:

1 part cognac
1 part champagne, chilled

Very nice, indeed, and a beverage featured prominently in my legendary birthday breakfast at the 4 seasons, lo, these many years ago.
