For those not in the know: easiest way to tell the good from the bad:

You say: “Oh, you’re Iranian?”

They say: “No, we’re Persian.”

Good guys.

You say: “Oh, you’re Persian?”

They say: “No, we’re Iranian.”

Probably not good guys.

yup - i can independently confirm that.

as a student, years ago, had a landlord who was PERSIAN..
and he *insisted* on that.

“iranian? no no no sir.,.. PERSIAN”…
