Well lost in the mix up over the Spokane NAACP controversy is today is Loving day. 48 years ago today the Supreme Court ruled bans on interracial marriage illegal. I’m honored to say that I have some small connection of that history given that my own grandfather employed Mr. Loving as a bricklayer while the Lovings lived in D.C waiting for the USSC to rule. And while I know Hispanic is a culture designation not a racial one, I’m the proud uncle of a beautiful little Hispanic girl who always makes me smile.

Wish we could go back in time to read the Tweets from the Southern Baptist Convention when this happened.
