Yes, and that is the one and only argument for a god, IMHO. Rights do not come from a document or another human being. They are innate to every living thing.

That being rather abstract for most thinkers —a god, who cannot be challenged, is the substitute that works.

for many that is true.

i am comfortable that equality and innateness just as easily flow from the natural, social contract of coexistence. there is one race. we are all the same. no one is superior to anyone due to that. ie skin color, land origin, etc. essentially, as far as that goes.

differentiation comes wrt abilities, strengths, capacities, etc.
and only after we recognize and accept that no one is better than anyone.

its power; breaking the social contract, that effs up the natural balance
