Do you remember that National Anthem row she got into after she tour up the picture? She said she didn’t know that the National Anthem was sung before ballgames and was set to sing… not sure if they wanted her to sing the Anthem or not, but anyway, I think she refused to go on. She said that all Anthems glorify war and represent nationalism and she wouldn’t be a part of it.

Now, I don’t agree with that. I think one can have a healthy dose of patriotism and not be a nut, but I always admired her for taking her own stand.

Well … If she agreed, contracted with an organization to do a certain thing, then she should just do it. If she doesn’t want to do it, she shouldn’t agree to do it in the first place. Makes me think she’s an entertainer looking for publicity.
