Just remember that if your state governor doesn’t get those disaster declarations in, they can’t get the federal aid and assistance, and that includes the Gulf Coast states hit by TS Lee, Texas and the wildfires, the East Coast states from Irene and Lee, and any other natural disasters that occur every year that give no regard to borders or political affiliations.

The failure to pass the aid package is an abdication of the Congressional GOP to do their duty to provide aid to the states and the residents of those states.

Just remember that when those who are crying loudest for cutting spending before passing this package will be first to have their hands out if their own districts are affected by a natural disaster.

Pass the damned aid package. Heck, you’ve got GOP governors like Christie who are going against the Congressional GOP, and some GOPers from affected states are starting to feel the pressure to get the aid done - and are starting to lean on the leadership.
