During the playoffs, in the late innings, when the batter is making the pitcher throw strikes or foul off pitches, the catcher is trying to outguess the batter, the pitcher is tired or the reliever is nervous, every moment is thick with anticipation. The entire year is on the line, they’ve been playing every single day since February and if they lose, the whole year goes down the drain and they have to start all over again.
