I hate saying it as a millennial but we’re not going to be able to count on that generation to change a lot of conservatism. As many of you no doubt know, millennial conservatives are just as nasty and reactionary minded ,n fact, I’d say many are the backbone of the alt-right so that’s not going to change things. I was very encouraged with how the K-12 kids voted in the Scholastic mock election but that doesn’t tell us everything.

What it tells us is the next generation hasn’t yet gotten old enough where cynicism and anger warps their set of moral values. We won’t really know until they’re at college age whether or not they’re going to be the generation that changes things…or another generation of dopeheads sitting in their dorms and talking about how voting doesn’t change anything.
