Hell, it’s worse than that, the “appearance of impropriety” argument not only accepts that this is a criminal investigation, it accepts the insistence that an indictment is inevitable and Lynch will be prosecuting Hillary. And so Lynch must treat the Clintons as defendants in a federal trial and distance herself from them to prevent any questions of her impartiality. Would it have been better had she greeted Bill not as a friend, but instead as “Mr. Clinton” and told him that she could not speak with him while his wife was under investigation?

That is total bullshit.
