What some of the people antifa are opposing are doing is truly neither here, nor there. They don’t get brownie points for opposing bad guys among others.

My point wasn’t that the people the antifa have abused consist of elderly disable people and nerds with signs. It was that they include those people.

That’s quite aside from the mob rule issue. No, vigilantes don’t get to abuse the far-right who haven’t first abused them (i.e. not as a matter of self-defense). I say that as someone who supports hate speech laws and thinks that the state should put people in prison for the more extreme racist propaganda.

There was this Russian neo-Nazi, Tesak, who publicly abused men wanting to sleep with male minors (which would include pedo- and ephebophiles). His videos used to be quite popular in Russia. In the West it was recognized that such mob “justice” is sick, regardless of the fact that most of Tesak’s adult victims might actually deserve to be in prison.
