I think we have to bear two things in mind, both very important for events going forward:

1. John Bolton is not a hero in any way. If not for somebody in the WH leaking this draft manuscript, we likely would never have read these words until after Trump had been “acquitted.” The man had every opportunity to come forward and say these words to the American people, he chose instead to make a buck on revealing the truth after it would have been relevant. He deserves every bit of scorn he receives.

2. Even with these revelations, don’t get your hopes up that anything will really change. Mitch has his mission: “Acquit” his boss and do it before the SOTU. Senate Repubs will crawl over broken glass and hot coals to make that happen. So the most we can hope for is that the damage done from the shrapnel this bombshell produces is enough to swing the election in November.

Bolton is no hero but as I said with Parnas coming forward, it took Sammy Gravano to bring down John Gotti.
