My worry is that, in the political sphere, Dems will reckon with those accused on their side (as they damn well should), and Repubs will circle the wagons and ride out the storm to reap the political benefits in the end as their opponents actually pay and accept the consequences coming to them. Because that’s how this bullshit tends to work out in the end so damn often.

This is going to be a lot like the CRA and VRA. Democrats will do the right thing, and pay for it. And we’ll have a backlash coming soon. Watch what happens when a woman accuses a Republican that can actually be refuted.
