The drought in Ireland has turned up a new henge dating back about 5000 years ago. And it is next to Newgrange. Really wonderful stuff. Read down the comments in the first link to the info about Newgrange from Sadhbh.

People 5k years ago were just as smart as we are and capable of amazing feats of architecture. That’s one reason I hate all those stupid “ancient aliens” shows; it denies the geniuses who built these monuments the credit they deserve.
