He slipped up, made a non PC comment, apologized and in the long run the comment will provide a learning moment according to S.O. head.

I don’t mind the non PCness of what he said. But what gets me is that it was a juvenile joke. A grown man shouldn’t say that. I agree that this will and should blow over soon, though.
