As I said, forget about major recovery until businesses are more certain of conditions. The toxic asset issue is still an issue, though it’s been reduced, and the political fighting in Washington also makes businesses nervous. Facing an uncertain tax and regulatory environment, most are choosing to just sit on their cash for now.

I would have to agree with the first part. As far as tax and regulatory perhaps with some industries like the petroleum industry. But they’ve had almost a whole decade of nearly stable tax environment. Including having had overseas tax shelters many of which continue to this day. The cash as you know is there. I believe we have a systemic problem and one that requires a major restructuring of how we do things. Not just in the USA but around the world. Right now we’re looking at the detrimental effects of the EU crisis. It is indeed a global market and global crisis.
