Yeah I don’t understand Cantor at all here. Then again I rarely do. Sucks he’s in one of the most safe districts for either party statewide since I’ve love to see him get a challenge.

Most of the House leadership from both parties comes from safe districts. They’re the ones who stay in Congress long enough to ascend to leadership spots. The Congresspeople in swing districts rarely last more than 4-5 terms before they are voted out when the district swings back the other way.
