I have to disagree.

For example, was Patrick Moynihan a ‘Dixiecrat’? He admonished the black community about the dissolution of family, abortion, etc., all ideas we would now consider ‘racist’.

The issue of racism is too comples to reduce to simple terms, I’m afraid.

I will say to the Dems credit, they reinvented themselves in the 70’s and that has gone a long way. The GOP could stand to do teh same in many areas.
