Yes, things are different now, but the sheer amount of death threats one actually receives on the net for daring attack Kim Jong Trump is (to me) an echo of that. The lady who was suing Drumpf for raping her when she was 13 withdrew her suit (from what i understand) because of death threats and actually being hacked. In a word: fear.

Not too different from Franco’s Spain.

Yeah the rise of death threats disturbs me. Honestly, the rise of Trump reminds me more of the Spanish Civil War than Nazi Germany. It’s just a disturbign new world. I’ve never been in a country that was a dictatorship before so I have no idea what that’s like but I imagine as you got it, it’s something you feel immediately.
