Have you tried using vinegar to reduce the sliminess or okra? Does it work?

I don’t usually eat just boiled okra, it’s always slimy.
I will eat “okra and tomatoes”, or fried okra (it’s cut into disks, battered and fried) or pickeled okra.
Here is a Paula Deen recipe for okra and tomatoes that looks very good.
