My bunker is in the basement of my 100+ year old rehab house. The music studio. The absolute first room that was ready to go after putting in a bathroom upstairs.

The neat thing about this old place is the 18” think limestone footer walls. They are not only the perimeter, there are two more that run the length of the house right down the middle 7 feet apart and support the main hall. I put in insulation and some other stuff to cut sound going up through the floors, a bit of padding on the door into the two rooms, a wall closing off one part of the inner walls and I can play my drums after midnight and no one really hears much of it. Maybe a low tapping sound. Same with guitar…but toned down…because guitar.

It is my bunker to get away from it all when needed.
