Had a wingnut the other day swear to me that this was the city’s fault, because they didn’t properly plan for the failure of the pipe. Yes, that’s right, it’s not the company’s fault for allowing the pipe to corrode to the point that it spewed oil, it’s the city’s for not preparing for the company allowing its own pipe to fail.
