Honestly regarding immigration, I wouldn’t be opposed to an amnesty on it, I don’t think productive people should have to live in fear of INS showing up to their door one day and deporting them. I mean it’s very easy to see “Well just emigrate legally like my grandparents did”, it’s a lot harder to emigrate legally now than it was in the past. And quite frankly a lot of our foreign policy is what creates the conditions in some countries that force people to emigrate in the first place.

And we’re talking about DREAMers, kids brought here as babies/toddlers who oft times don’t even speak their native language. It would be like sending someone to live on Jupiter.
