I love seeing all the old cars everyone drove.

I’ve said it before…those cars are fun for nostalgia but the cars today or so much better in so many ways. They drink less gas, need less maintenance, perform way better and the biggie…so much safer. So much!

This was my first car. Bought it from my brother for $250 and it had slightly more than 200,000 miles on it. I drove it for 4.5 years and got it to about 250,000+.

I love to drive and always liked a good handling car. The little Tempest with the 6 was perfectly balanced with the light engine. I could throw that car around like a little race car. And the engine had plenty of grunt for the car’s size.

They’d given up the rear transaxle and speedometer-cable drive by ‘64, right? None of them lasted 250,000 miles, I’m pretty sure.
