‘afternoon, y’all.

I’ve been down chatting with my neighbor for the first time in a couple of months. I went to offer my help in repairing the fences between our land so his cattle won’t wander about the countryside. Anyway.

He was showing me a couple of photos that he got from his game camera set up about 100 yards from his front door. Now what the picture was representing, I don’t know. I do know that it was not a panther, mountain lion, catamount, puma, or anything like that. I know this because my Game and Fish Commission steadfastly maintains that there are no roaming big cats in Arkansas. I, of course, implicitly believe what government authorities tell me, what with their spotless track record and all.

But whatever these pictures represent is a feline appearing creature standing somewhere under three feet at the shoulder, with a tail about as long as the body, solid colored, that leaves saucer-sized footprints that look like my housecat footprints, only larger.

It may be the fabled moderate mussulman. I understand those are hard to get on film, too.
