actually there is, but not widely accepted… experimental data is really hard to come by (for Einstein or his upstart competitors), and nobody’s going to toss Einstein without real evidence, reproducible results, blah blah. That’s one of the questions the particle accelerator is hoping to eventually be able to answer.
