But she seemed to be thinking along the lines of taking on a female appearance without paying the price (all the varieties of discrimination, wage differences and all that…). Again, she’s thinking of it as a masquerade, not what being transgendered really involves.

Calochortus, I also don’t get it, but from the other direction. I think if I woke up in a male body, I’d probably get used to it eventually. If I didn’t cut my throat shaving first, and I understand that electric razors are pretty wide-spread these days.

To clarify…she mentioned getting beaten by the men here at LGF if I remember it correctly. I saw the comment as a tad sad like she had been abused by men in her life and she didn’t need it here too. I could be wrong.
