Wow, Backpage “erotic” classified ads are gone, as of today. Why now and not years ago?

Here is a good read on the situation and the origin of Backpage as the brainchild of former alternative press heavyweights who were angry that craigslist stole their industry’s main revenue source.

Given the usual puritanism of our nation, I’ll take the defendants side in this over the government. This is all about making themselves look good for the upcoming Ayatollah Pence administration rather than anything about helping victims.
